Importantly, folks should get proper Medi-Cal guidance through CANHR or the two organizations listed on this site (MRS or Sunrise). Applicants should not assume the asset limits are disqualifiers.
There are safe mechanisms to spend down or qualify from an income standpoint in order to qualify for Medi-Cal.
In black and white print, single adults can earn approx. $1,836/month and a family of four up to $44,367 annually.
But, very importantly, there are monthly expenses that are exempt by Medi-Cal therefore folks who think they have too much income may actually have expenses that reduce their income.
