Scott McKeown is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified personal trainer with a specialist certification in senior fitness. He currently serves as the Senior Fitness Specialist at Coaches Corner Fitness Center in Sebastopol, CA, where he helps adults train smarter, move better, and build strength for life. Scott is also available to come to you, to provide services in the comfort of your own home.
Scott specializes in helping older adults increase muscle and strength, improve cardiovascular health, enhance bone density, reduce body fat, sharpen balance and agility, and regain function after injury. Every program is individualized — built around each client’s goals, medical history, and physical considerations — with safety, proper progression, and long-term sustainability at the forefront.
As a cancer survivor, Scott understands firsthand the physical and emotional challenges of rebuilding after serious illness. He transformed himself from a state of profound deconditioning into being leaner, stronger, and fitter than he had been in decades. That lived experience informs his coaching style: compassionate, disciplined, and grounded in resilience.
Using the latest evidence-based training principles, Scott designs efficient, results-driven programs that help clients not only improve how they look, but more importantly, how they function and feel in everyday life. His mission is simple: help people stay strong, independent, and capable at every stage of aging.
